ABOUT THE EVENT

For 48 years Bay Area locals and music fans from all over
have been enjoying concerts and picnicking at Summer Symphony.
The event benefits the Children’s Health Council.

Summer Symphony is about music,
family, friends and a cause worth supporting:
the Children’s Health Council. Summer Symphony helps us
achieve our mission: “To make a measurable difference
in the lives of children and their families who face
developmental, behavioral, emotional
and learning challenges.”

Guest conductors from the past include:
Arthur Fiedler, Mitch Miller, Nelson Riddle,
and Arnie Roth.

Over the past 49 years, featured performers have included:
Benny Goodman, George Shearing, Ella Fitzgerald,
Bernadette Peters, Burt Bacherach, Trisha Yearwood,
Michael Feinstein, Roberta Flack, Peter Paul and Mary,
Peter Cetera, Dionne Warwick and this year Kenny Loggins.

Summer Symphony takes place each year
at the beautiful outdoor venue, Frost Amphitheater
on the Stanford Campus. Thousands of music lovers from
the Bay Area and beyond come together to enjoy the
summer weather, family and friends, and great music. 
Picnicking is encouraged and alcohol is permitted
(please drink responsibly). There is no food sold at the concert,
but the Concierge Level Reserved Lawn tickets do include
a picnic dinner for two.
