Celebrate 50 years of Summer Symphony and benefit The Children's Health Council in one magical evening. Saturday, September 12, 2009 Frost Amphitheater, Stanford University 4:30 p.m. Doors Open 6:00 p.m. Concert Begins

Summer Symphony brings together music lovers from all over the Bay Area to enjoy great music in an idyllic setting. The concert was first held in 1960 with Arthur Fiedler conducting the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Fiedler went on to conduct seventeen more concerts with talent including Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Goodman, and The Romeros. Through the years, Summer Symphony has featured many notable stars such as Rosemary Clooney, Burt Bacharach, Peter, Paul & Mary, Melissa Manchester, and Kenny Loggins.
